Matthew Pavlovich

Matthew earned his BS in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his PhD in chemical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, where he studied the biological effects of air plasmas. He studied analytical chemistry as a postdoctoral researcher at Northeastern University, then joined Cell Press at the start of 2016. Matt is currently the editor of Trends in Biotechnology and a part of the editorial teams for the Cell Press Podcast and Cell Mentor. Esther Levy

Esther studied chemistry at Otago University (NZ) and completed her Ph.D. in supramolecular chemistry at Cambridge University (UK) in 1997. She then joined the Advanced Materials editorial team (Wiley-VCH, Germany) where she was appointed Editor-in-Chief in 2002. In 2007, Esther relocated to Sydney to take up the position of Senior Commissioning Editor for Wiley’s physical sciences book, journal and society publishing program in the Asia-Pacific region. She returned to the Advanced family of journals in 2011, where she is currently Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials Technologies as well as Consulting Editor for Wiley’s flagship journals Advanced Materials and Small, the premium open-access general science journal Advanced Science and the new open-access journal Advanced Intelligent Systems.

Dr Wei Sun

Dr. Wei Sun is currently appointed as National “Thousand-Talent” Distinguished Professor and Director of Biomanufacturing Research Center at Tsinghua University, China, and Albert Soffa Chair Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University, USA. His research has been on Biofabrication, 3D Bio-Printing, Computer-Aided Tissue Engineering, and Additive Manufacturing. His research has been sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Chinese Natural Science Foundation (CNSF) and Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. He has published over 350 journal and conference papers/abstracts and conducted over 230 national and international invited presentations in the field of his research. He is currently serving Editor-in-Chief for journal Biofabrication, and served as Founding President for International Society of Biofabrication from 2010-2014.
